In the two years that I have been on campus, the influx of brilliant young minds and students taking on more challenges in the classroom have inspired me. The number of students I talk to on a daily basis about what IUPUI has done for them is something that pushes me to become more of a campus leader.
Currently, I am the President of the Senate for the Undergraduate Student Government at IUPUI, a Liberal Arts ambassador with the Indiana University School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI, a Social Justice Scholar with the IUPUI Multicultural Center, and the Education Chair for Jagathon: IUPUI's Riley Dance Marathon. I have been involved with so many great organizations on campus, but I have to say that the professors and advisors I have connected with are the reason I keep joining more.
My professional relationships with the staff and faculty on campus are the reason I can be a part of so much and still succeed academically. Not only do my advisors check up on me weekly, but they make sure that I have what I need to be the best that I can be as a student at IUPUI.
I chose IUPUI after an eight-week debate between Indiana University and IUPUI my senior year of high school. Looking back, I cannot tell you how happy I am that I chose this wonderful university. The amount of campus involvement has propelled me to be apart of a multitude of different student organizations, fostering my leadership skills. The amount of students I connect with on a daily basis makes me so happy and reminds me of how happy I am here at IUPUI.
