It really has been an all new educational experience for me at IUPUI, from the physical classroom itself to the teaching and learning style. My confidence in public speaking has been shaped through the frequent presentations required by all the courses I take in the Department of BioHealth Informatics as I work toward my degree in the Health Informatics program.
I am equally delighted that the program got accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education during my time as a student because it opens up many opportunities, such as the ability to take some certification exams that I have always hoped for.
Volunteering at IU Health Methodist gave me a chance to see firsthand how the hospital system operates from the guest relations point of view, which was made possible as a result of being an IUPUI student. We learn a lot from our interaction with people from diverse cultures, and this has indeed been proven at IUPUI.
