I turned 50 as well this year!!! I came to IUPUI directly from Panama City, Panama, South America, as an international student. I graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. I conducted research during my undergraduate and graduate work and found out my passion for asking questions and finding answers in research.
I also graduated IUPUI with a Masters degree in neurology in 1994. My studies led me to work on diseases of the brain at the University of Miami where I also directed the Brain Endowment Bank, one of the largest international tissue banks for research in the USA.
My education at IUPUI created the base for a successful career, and many skills I learned through my educational years there have been the bricks of utmost importance to my development as a professional.

Nowadays, even though I no longer work in the field, I continue to be very involved in aging and diseases of the brain. Currently, I am an entrepreneur and own my own business. My education at IUPUI created the base for a successful career, and many skills I learned through my educational years there have been the bricks of utmost importance to my development as a professional.
Wishing IUPUI the best for our next 50 years!!!
