I had the honor of being the 1968-69 Student Body President and the privilege of being the IU-Indianapolis student representative on the IU-PU merger committee.
I remember the meetings on the sixth floor of the "A" building on Delaware Street, especially with Deans Taylor and East. They were two men who I highly respected and who played a pivotal role in the formation of IUPUI.
Fifty years later, I am simply amazed to see how IUPUI has grown from four buildings downtown and one on 38th street to what exists today.
