The IUPUI Honors College has given me so much confidence and drive to be a good student. Most of all, it has given me amazing friends who I will cherish forever.
During my freshman year at IUPUI, I was not in the Honors College, but I was placed on the honors floor at University Tower. I couldn’t have had a better experience living on campus. I was never alone because everyone always wanted to study together or just sit back and watch a movie. That year inspired me. My sophomore year, I joined the Honors College and finally felt a complete connection with my friends.
Since joining the Honors College, I have become an SHHS ambassador, and I also have formed great relationships with my professors. Now that I am a junior, I can see the end on the horizon. Sometimes that makes people become complacent, but being part of IUPUI Honors reminds me of the importance of finishing strong and never giving up. The highlight of my day is usually a trip to the Honors Lounge in the library to get some tea and see the people I love spending time with.
