I've only been at college for about two months, but I have had many experiences that will probably end up as stories I will tell my kids when they head off to college.
IUPUI has changed me for the better. Back in high school, I didn't really talk to too many people, but here I have expanded my social life by hanging out with friends and joining clubs. I have also learned that I can be myself here and not care about anybody else's opinions, unlike high school.
The possibility of being successful and starting my career both thrills me and terrifies me. I think this happens to everyone because of the possibility of failure after college. This has also changed the way I think because we have discussed the cultural myths and "The American Dream." These classroom discussions have helped me better understand our society.
IUPUI has also provided me with many resources to explore my choices and even internhip possibilities. My advisors also helped me figure out my career goals and even helped me transfer into my new major. IUPUI has changed me for the better and I hope I continue to grow here.
